Growing up in Germany means sitting on a well-known design icon – the school chair by Karl Nothhelfer. We have always admired the simplicity of this piece of furniture, which has also been a great success. To date, nearly six million pieces have been sold. We stumbled upon this type of chair and quickly shared the same thought: we wanted to rethink the classic sled chair, which we both sat on for years, in a new way. Traditionally designed for children in five different sizes, we aimed to develop a design language that is stricter and more refined for everyday use.
